Meurice Prize for contemporary art 2011/2012, Results of the Preselection

![]() On Wednesday, June 8th 2011, the Jury of the Meurice Prize for contemporary art met in closed session. Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Patron of the Prize, Montse Aguer, Director Centre d'Etudes Dali, Renaud Auguste-Dormeuil, Winner 2009/10, Colette Barbier Director of the Fondation d'entreprise Ricard, Philippe Dagen, Writer and Professor at Paris I, Jennifer Flay, Managing Director of FIAC, Marta Gili, director of the Musée du Jeu de Paume, Henri Loyrette, Director of the Louvre, Maryvonne Pinault, Collector, Marc-Olivier Wahler, Director of the Palais de Tokyo and Franka Holtmann, General Manager of the Hotel Meurice have therefore shortlisted six artists and their gallery (galleries by alphabetical order): On October 10th 2011, the Jury will select the winners, the artist and his gallery, who will be awarded severally the Meurice Prize for contemporary art: 10 000 € to the artist and 10 000 € to his gallery. The exhibition of the six finalists will be open to the public from October 10th to 23rd, 2011 True to its heritage and its interest in the art of its times, in 2008 and under the impetus of General Manager Franka Holtmann, Le Meurice founded the Meurice Prize for contemporary art, and in doing so asserted its support of young French artists.
